CARE for your HAIR!

In the spirit of saving money, I couldn't forget some of my favorite hair care lines available right in your local drugstore of supermarket. There are 1001 reasons why salon products are better for your hair...and those all may be true, but let's be honest...we can't always afford to spend $25 on a bottle of shampoo and $16 on a can of hairspray. Especially if you have long hair, these costs can add up VERY quickly, but there is a way to still have great looking hair on a shoestring budget.

NORMAL HAIR
GARNIER
Fructis Fortifying Sleek and Shine Shampoo and Conditioner
With apricot and avocado oils along with vitamins B3 and B6, this great formula leave hair strong, shiny, and virtually frizz-free. Testers found that even with the most stubborn hair, tangles were minimized and hair looked and smelled great!

$4 each - Drugstores Nationwide

FINE / THIN HAIR
SUAVE PROFESSIONALS
Humectant Shampoo and Conditioner
Chamomile and Honey are two of the nourishing ingredients in this fabulous find, but the real hook here is the luxurious lather. Modelled after NEXXUS Therappe Shampoo and Humectress Conditioner, this shampoo FEELS like luxury as you are using it. It washes out with no residue and leaves hairs soft, supple, and full of volume!

CURLY / WAVY HAIR
AUSSIE
Sprunch Catch the Wave Shampoo / Conditioner

COLOR CARE
L'OREAL
Vive Pro Color Vive Shampoo and Conditioner
Offers two varieties, for extremely damaged hair, and for regular hair. Having short hair, I usually keep mine dry and damaged as it makes it easier to style, but my testers tell me that that is the most effective, affordable way to revive severaly damaged, color-treated hair.

$5 each - Drugstores Nationwide

HAIRSPRAY
AQUA NET

This 80's classic is still the tried and true is still one of the best. Consumers and professionals agree, Aqua Net is the cheapest, most effective way to hold your style in place. While it may not be the healthiest fomula for your hair, it really does the trick. Also can be used to se your makeup on a hot day!

$3 - Drugstores Nationwide

MOUSSE
ORGANIX
Nourishing Coconut Milk Styling Mousse
With coconut milk and whipped egg white proteins, this weightless mousse conditions and protects your hair while providing an effortless hold!

$7 - Drugstores Nationwide

At the end of the day, these most drugstore brands are probably FINE but whatever you do, DO NOT use PANTENE PRO V for ANYTHING! Any hair stylist will agree, Pantene leaves waxy residue and buildup in your hair and should be avoided at all costs!
